Terms of Service

Ovicard is a digital business card platform that lets you create a public profile page containing your contact information, generate a QR code that links to that page, and share your details with others via a scan. Annual subscription plans determine how many pages you can create.

To use Ovicard, you must register an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of any business or organisation you represent.

You are solely responsible for the content you publish on your Ovicard pages, including contact details, photographs, and social media links. By publishing content, you confirm:

• You have the right to share that information.
• The content does not infringe any third-party rights.
• The content complies with applicable laws, including data-protection laws.

You grant Ovicard a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and serve your content solely for the purpose of operating the service.

You agree not to use Ovicard to:

• Publish false, misleading, or fraudulent contact information.
• Impersonate another person or organisation.
• Publish content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or obscene.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service.
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules, without notice.

Ovicard is billed annually. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise us to charge the applicable annual fee via M-Pesa. Prices are listed in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and are subject to change with reasonable advance notice.

Subscriptions do not auto-renew automatically. You will receive a renewal reminder before your plan expires. If you do not renew, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which your content remains editable. After the grace period, editing is paused but your public pages remain live.

Payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

Your published Ovicard page is publicly accessible via a unique URL and QR code. Ovicard will keep your public page live as long as your account exists, including during grace periods after subscription expiry. Pages are taken down only if your account is permanently deactivated or if content violates these Terms.

The Ovicard platform, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by Ovicard and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our written permission.

You retain ownership of the content you create on Ovicard.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ovicard is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service, including loss of data or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The service is provided “as is” and we make no warranties regarding uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or any other reason at our reasonable discretion. On termination, your public pages will be taken down within 30 days.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice within the app. Continued use of the service after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
